Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB) ACTIVATOR local trustees have designated State Senator Dan McConchie of the 26th State Senate District, State Representative David McSweeney of the 52nd State Representative District and State Representative Steven Reick of the 63rd State Representative District as Friends of Agriculture and endorsed them in their respective campaigns.
IFB Activator also extends congratulations to Congressman Hultgren and Congressman Roskam for receiving the “Friend of Agriculture” award on the national level.
IFB ACTIVATOR designates incumbent legislators as a Friend of Agriculture and endorses them when they demonstrate an understanding of the important role agriculture plays in Illinois.
IFB ACTIVATOR trustees also endorsed non-incumbent candidates Craig Wilcox for the 32nd State Senate District and Tom Weber for the 64th State Representative District. Local trustees voted to endorse both candidates because they demonstrated a strong commitment to helping the agricultural community.
“All of these legislators and candidates understand how important agriculture is to McHenry County,” said Dan Ziller, president of the McHenry County Farm Bureau. “We look forward to working with them to get things done for our members and for Illinois agriculture.”
ACTIVATOR, Illinois Farm Bureau’s Political Involvement Fund, is a voluntary, non-profit, segregated fund promoting the economic and social well-being of farmers which seeks to help elect pro-farm candidates no matter their party affiliation. ACTIVATOR trustees are local Farm Bureau leaders representing each county in the Illinois General Assembly Legislative District.
