The Harvard Milk Days Antique Tractor/Equipment Committee is inviting antique tractor and equipment enthusiasts to participate in this year's Harvard Milk Days events. Last year, 45 tractors plus other equipment were proudly displayed. This is not just for tractors; mowers, balers, old combines, hit-in-miss engines, etc. also encouraged. Restored or not, all are welcome.
We are asking entrants to bring machinery to the Harvard Milky Way Park grounds on Friday, June 6th, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. or on Saturday, June 7th, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Release time will be 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 8th, 2014. The Milky Way Park is located on Lawrence Road in Harvard. There is a single $5.00 entry fee for each participant to cover electricity costs.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the Milk Days Parade Saturday at noon. The plan is to take back streets to the parade route and enter the parade without sitting and waiting while tractors are running. Drivers will not be allowed to have additional riders, and drivers must be at least 16 years of age with valid license. After going through the parade, everyone will end up back at Milky Way Park where tractors and equipment will be displayed.
If you have any questions or concerns, contact Harry Alten at (815) 262-1872 or Dennis Alten at (815) 262-6269, or visit www.milkdays.com. You may fill out the entry form and pay the $5.00 entry fee upon arrival.
