MCFB recognized at IFB Annual Meeting

Bruce Meier, past McHenry County Farm Bureau President, accepts a recognition plaque awarded to the Bureau for its achievements during 2012. The award was presented during the Illinois Farm Bureau Annual Meeting and calls attention to the comprehensive nature of county Farm Bureau programs.

In program awards competition among county Farm Bureaus in Membership Group V, the following awards were received: A Gold award was received for Ag Literacy; Silver awards were received for Commodities & Marketing, Health & Safety, Legislative & Political Process, Local Affairs, Communication & Promotion, Member Relations and Policy Development. McHenry CFB also received a Bronze award for their efforts in Multi-County projects.

County Farm Bureaus in Membership Group V are those with More than 5601 members.

As part of its Annual Meeting, Illinois Farm Bureau presents program and committee awards in recognition of outstanding county Farm Bureau volunteer efforts throughout the year.

The Illinois Farm Bureau is a member of the American Farm Bureau Federation, a national organization of farmers and ranchers. Founded in 1916, IFB is a non-profit, membership organization controlled by farmers who join through their county Farm Bureau.
