Hello everyone! My name is Amy Kruse and I am proud to be the 2015 intern for the McHenry County Farm Bureau. I am very excited to work with everyone and learn more about the Farm Bureau as well as McHenry County agriculture.
I was born and raised in McHenry, Illinois but currently attend Kansas State University. I am a going to be a junior in Agricultural Economics, with a focus on Natural Resources and Environmental Studies. At Kansas State I am a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority where I am heavily involved in the community, as well as an agricultural club that helps promote Ag in Kansas.
This past semester I had the privilege of learning about agriculture on an international level by traveling throughout Europe and attending a university in Dublin, Ireland. At University College Dublin, I focused on agri-environmental issues, as well as ag. policy. It was an amazing experience and confirmed my love for all things agricultural.
After college I hope to attend Law School at the University of Oklahoma. One day, I would love to have a career where I can be an advocate for both agriculture and justice.
