Ag Expo | 3rd and 4th Graders

The Ag Expo has been a beloved tradition held every other year since 1988, with a brief pause during the COVID pandemic. Throughout this time, we have engaged over 43,500 enthusiastic third- and fourth-grade students.

At our most recent expo, students eagerly rotated through engaging stations, each offering a 6-minute session on a different aspect of agriculture. From beef and bees to goats and food safety, the booths provided a delightful array of topics that sparked curiosity and showcased the beauty of the agricultural world.

We were excited to welcome 1,300 eager grade school students from Crystal Lake, Johnsburg, Marengo, McHenry, Richmond, and Woodstock to our three-day event. This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible support of approximately 200 dedicated volunteers who served as group leaders, presenters, contributors, and who assisted with setup and teardown.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to the Harvard and Marengo FFA Chapters for their unwavering support. We also deeply appreciate the McHenry County Fair for graciously allowing us to use their wonderful facilities, AHW LLC for providing the tractor, Step It Up Rental for supplying the curtains, and TLC Photography for beautifully capturing the essence of the event through their imagery. Our gratitude extends to all the volunteers whose hard work and passion brought this event to life!
