McHenry CFB Viewpoint Results In

Management at the McHenry CFB recently sent out its Viewpoint Survey to poll its voting membership regarding several key issues on the local, state, and federal levels.  The survey contained ten questions of these such topics and the results for some questions are as follows in percentages:

  • 1. I support McHenry County's twenty million dollar road widening project proposed on Alden Road.
  • 2. I support preservation of Class I and II farmland as defined by NRCS.
  • 3. I believe residential development needs to come from growth of municipalities and developed in a compact manner that will discourage the conversion of farmland and natural resources.
  • 4. I believe Illinois should become a "concealed carry" state. (Concealed Carry: legal authorization to carry a handgun in a concealed manner)
  • 5. I believe Illinois needs to raise income tax or sales tax to balance the budget.
