MCFB Recognized

McHenry County Farm Bureau President, Bruce Meier, accepts a recognition plaque awarded to McHenry County Farm Bureau for its achievements during 2009-10 program year. The award was presented during Illinois Farm Bureau's Annual Meeting and calls attention to the comprehensive nature of county Farm Bureau programs.

McHenry County Farm Bureau was recognized for its achievements during the 96th annual meeting of the Illinois Farm Bureau held in St. Louis, December 4-7, 2010.

In committee awards competition among county Farm Bureaus in Membership Group V, MCFB's Women's Committee and Young Leader's Committee both attained bronze awards.

In program awards competition among county Farm Bureaus in Membership Group IV, the following awards were received: A Gold awards were received for Membership Quota, Ag Literacy, Communications & Promotions and Policy Development; Silver awards were received for Commodities & Marketing, Legislative & Political Process and Member Relations; Bronze awards were received for Local Affairs and Health & Safety.

McHenry County received recognition in its continuous growth in its voting membership and total membership since 2007. The county also received the Triple Honor Membership award this past year for making total, voting and retention quotas. In total membership, McHenry County obtained "Top 5" status; ending the year with an increase of 3.38%.

Illinois Farm Bureau presents program and committee awards in recognition of outstanding county Farm Bureau volunteer efforts throughout the year.

County Farm Bureaus in Membership Group V are those with more than 5,401 members.
