Illinois Farm Bureau ACTIVATOR Endorses John Bartman for 63rd State Representative District

Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB) ACTIVATOR today announced John Bartman, candidate for the 63rd State Representative district, has been endorsed by the local ACTIVATOR trustee committee.

Local trustee members endorsed Bartman based on his views and knowledge of agricultural issues and his background as an active farmer in the 63rd Representative District.

“We are excited to be endorsing John Bartman because he believes agriculture is a critical part of Illinois’ economy and supports the preservation of the agriculture sales tax exemption on seed, fertilizer, farm equipment and machinery,” said Jason Hogan, ACTIVATOR Trustee member. “Bartman also knows firsthand the hard work farmers put in on a day to day basis to provide quality products that reach far beyond their local communities.”

Hogan added Bartman knows the issues farmers face because he’s a farmer himself, and will work to solve those problems on a state level.

“John is a dedicated farmer here in McHenry County, and he knows the hurdles we face on the farm,” Hogan said. “Now more than ever, we need someone who will go to Springfield and work to solve the problems of this State. John has a wealth of knowledge and looks to use that in a bipartisan fashion to finally get things done.”

The endorsement by IFB ACTIVATOR places Bartman in a group of select individuals in the state who understand the leading role agriculture plays in Illinois. It proves that he comprehends the benefits of agriculture, and that those benefits extend far beyond the vital function of feeding Illinois, the nation, and the world.

ACTIVATOR, Illinois Farm Bureau’s Political Involvement Fund, is a voluntary, non-profit, segregated fund promoting the economic and social well-being of farmers which seeks to help elect pro-farm candidates no matter their party affiliation. ACTIVATOR trustees are local Farm Bureau leaders representing each county in the Illinois General Assembly Legislative District.
