Scholarships Offered, April 15 Deadline

The McHenry County Farm Bureau Agricultural Education Foundation is offering two $1,000 scholarships. One scholarship is from the McHenry County Farm Bureau Women's Committee for high school seniors and the second scholarship is the David B. Gardner Memorial Scholarship to high school seniors or college students. The $1,000.00 scholarships would be applied to continuing education in a Jr. College, 4-yr institution or technical college.

MCFB Recognized

McHenry County Farm Bureau President, Bruce Meier, accepts a recognition plaque awarded to McHenry County Farm Bureau for its achievements during 2009-10 program year. The award was presented during Illinois Farm Bureau's Annual Meeting and calls attention to the comprehensive nature of county Farm Bureau programs.

Be a McHenry County Farm Bureau Intern!

McHenry County Farm Bureau is excited to once again offer an agriculture related summer internship. The selected intern will gain valuable experiences in program planning, Ag in the Classroom, media, governmental and public relations. The selected individual will receive valuable work experience, funds to further their education and the opportunity to receive college credit.

We just got our 2009-10 program awards from Illinois Farm Bureau... It was another great year! We would like to thank our Volunteers, Committee Members and our Board of Directors for all their efforts.

New Face around the McHenry-Lake County USDA Service Center

You may see a new face around the McHenry-Lake County USDA Service Center. The new face is Erika Turner, the new District Conservationist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). You should stop in and meet her. While you are there, you can ask about the many voluntary and incentive based programs.
